Wall Vinyl--A Valentine for your Valentine

It's finally done & I even finished it before Valentine's Day!
Really, I've been wanting to do this for a few years, but I'm just now getting to it.
About 3 years ago, a friend took some "couples" pictures of me and my husband with the idea of eventually hanging them in our room.

I printed one of our favorites on a 12"x18" canvas through winkflash. They often do a 60% off canvas sale. This was the only size that wouldn't cut my ear and my eye off.
I cut the saying out using my Cricut, SCAL and brown vinyl. Then I pieced it together with the transfer tape and put it on the wall.
The saying is: El Amor es el Deseo del Alma
In English it means: Love is the Desire of the Soul.

Happy Valentine's Day !

  5. So far I love SCAL. I felt like the Cricut was waste without it. I know there's a ton of cartridges out there, but sometimes you just want to do your own thing. SCAL allows you to do that. It's great! You're unlimited! The only down side is that you can't adjust the speed or pressure of cutting like you normally can when using the Cricut cartridges. I haven't really found it a problem, but more an inconvenience.

  8. You CAN adjust your speed and pressure on your Cricut with SCAL. Speed is adjusted by going to "Edit", "Preferences", "cutter", "cut speed" & then you can choose anything from minimum to maximum speed. I believe pressure is still adjusted with the dial on the machine.
