Country Themed Party

Last weekend I got to help with a country themed BBQ.
My super talented friend Nicole is responsible for the awesome party planning & since I got to help her she's allowing me to post all the pics from the party.

This is the invitation that I created.  We had posters up at church and we passed out flyers so everyone would know about the BBQ.

This is the dessert table, ready for lots of pies.
Aren't those wood boxes so cute?!  You can buy them here.
The tin pails have ice & ice cream in them to eat with the pies.

The background of this sign is covered in burlap & you can find the digital frame I used on the Yeehaw sign here.

On the dessert table we used the extra large mason jar as a vase and some cute mini straw bales for the pie sign.  You can find mini straw bales here.

These cake stands can be found here.

And here's the first pie made by yours truly.  Apple pie is really the only pie I ever make, but that's okay because my husband LOVES it.

This party was a church function and with a limited budget, Nicole came up with a great idea for the flowers--mason jars wrapped in twine & filled with white lilac flowers donated by a friend (who had tons in her yard).

Nicole came up with a cute way to display the plasticware--small mason jars filled with spoons & forks.

There were quite a few tables to cover and this red & white plastic tablecloth roll was perfect to cover outdoor picnic tables.  You can find it at Oriental Trading.

We were so fortunate to have Nicole plan & carry out this party for our church.  It was so much fun & everything looked so cute.  A special thanks to Nicole and her mom for allowing us to use decorations from their wedding business for our church party.

There were activities for people to participate in as well:  potato sack races, wheelbarrow races, horse wagon rides & a photo booth.  I got to take pictures of families in the photo booth where we had cowboy hats, bandannas & fake mustaches.  This is one of my favorite pictures of my girls posing in the photo booth.  Too fun!  A special thanks to Nicole's father-in-law who brought his horses & gave wagon rides for everyone.
