For March I decided I wanted to do an Oscar Awards theme for our spotlight bulletin board.
My super artistic husband drew these awesome Oscars awards on card stock, then I cut them out & added the teachers names to the bottoms as plaques.

Then I found a free filmstrip SVG file online and cut it out on my Cricut.
I put all the "about me" information about the teachers in the filmstrip frames.
I used red butcher paper for the red carpet.

This was a lot of fun to put together!
You are awesome!
ReplyDeletethis is awesome! what questions did the teachers answer about themselves or did they just write a bio?
ReplyDeleteI just came up with a list of questions for all teachers & staff to answer at the beginning of the year. Then I randomly chose 3 to highlight each month.
DeleteYou can see some of the questions more clearly on this post... http://acreativemomma.blogspot.com/2010/12/november-pto-teacher-spotlight-bulletin.html
DeleteI created a sheet with the following information for all teachers/staff to fill out. Each month when I created the board I would choose a few things about them to include on the board along with pictures they gave me of them and their families. I didn't include all the information we asked for, but just some of it so the kids could get to know their teachers better. We also used the information to get them their favorite treats the month they were being spotlighted.

Where can I find the file for the filmstrip?
ReplyDeleteSorry I don't have a link. This was so long ago I don't remember where I got it. I'm sure you can do a search online and find something for free. :)
