Teacher Valentine: Cake Balls

Cake Balls are such a great Teacher Valentine gift, so that's what we're doing at our house.
I'm no pro when it comes to baking and I try to leave that to my husband, so here's a tutorial from someone with skills.

Here's our cake balls in festive red, pink and brown.

And here they are packaged and ready to give to our "sweet" teachers for Valentine's Day. (btw, we're not saving these for actual Valentine's Day, since it's 2 weeks away. We'll make more when it gets a little closer. These were given as a little Thank you to a freind.)

  6. Brooke Douglass said, did you use food color for the red and pink??

I used Wilton red candy melts, pink candy melts and light cocoa candy melts. The red and pink are a vanilla flavor. I bought mine at walmart in the seasonal(Valentine's) section. You can probably find them at Hobby Lobby, Michaels or Joanns.
