Little Girl Skirts

This week I've been working on skirts & it's making me long for spring and warmer weather. Maybe that has something to do with the fabric :)

Today I did a little photo shoot with my daughter and she was so excited to take pictures. So much so that she had to tell everyone she saw today that she had her pictures taken.

I just had to post a few because she was being so silly

I am not a professional photographer, as you can tell, but I tried to do something a little more than just point and shoot :)

I would totally make one in my size if I even thought it would look good on me, but I'm not convinced that this print would be flattering in that size.

  1. Those turned out SO cute. And Lexi is a doll. I agree I don't think that much print would be cute in my size. : )

  6. Totally adorable girl. Your little princess is too cute, and I love the feather you used as a prop. Beautiful photos. Awesome skirt, and I totally agree, that much patter, def looks better in smaller quantities and limited to cute little girls, rather than mommies. Then again, I've seen some wicked patterned skirts and dresses, that I would just LOVE to have, so go figure.

Thanks again, for supporting my blog and linking up to Bella Before and After **AMAZE ME AUGUST**, I really appreciate the support girl.

    Hugs,
    Bella :)

  11. I used Michael Miller Fabrics. He's my absolute favorite fabric designer! Every time I go to the store I'm drawn to his fabrics on the shelf :) I live in a small town, so you wouldn't find the store I bought them in, but you can visit his website at www.michaelmillerfabrics.com

The lighter fabric is "Dancing Flowers" from the "Pretty Bird by Pillow and Maxfield" line. The darker fabric is "Far Out Floral" from the "Lagoon Group" line.

Sorry I don't have a pattern for the skirt. I'd love to see your skirts when your done!

    Happy Sewing!

  13. I love that polka dot fabric!

I did some summer shopping for my daughter at a consignment sale yesterday, and all of the sleeveless dresses and tank tops had me dreaming of warmer weather, too.
