Home Decor Revamped

Here is another project my sister and I did together.

We were able to go thrift store shopping one day and we found a bunch of great stuff.
We found this cute little plastic drawer box and thought it would be perfect in another color.
I think it was only a dollar or two--score!

Instantly it looked different with a coat of red spray paint.
We didn't even have to be that precise with the spray paint because it looked great with a little brown showing through the paint.

Even though you could see some of the brown through the red, we still thought it would look great with some glaze. We used glaze that was tinted with brown.

And this is what we ended up with.
It goes great with the rest of the decor in the room.
Lovin it!!

Can't wait to have my living room all done!

  5. Really cute! What a great find. I love the color choice. Looks like an expensive imported antique. Cool.

  6. The (formerly ugly, but now interesting)brown peeking through the red adds dimension to your now cute container.
Are you putting scrapbooking embellishments or recipe cards or what in it?
