This past weekend my daughter got baptized and she wanted a special dress for her special day.
I searched the internet for cute dresses and this is the one my daughter and I liked.
It took me forever to start making this dress because I was so scared to try and sew without a pattern. Now I'm over that fear and when I get some time I'll try and share a tutorial with you. I'm not sure I got step by step pictures, but I can at least share step by step instructions.
I'm so pleased with how her dress turned out and now I have a little more confidence in my ability to sew by making my own pattern.
It's beautiful! Great job!!! Congrats for your daughter, my daughters are getting baptized on Sat!

ReplyDeleteYou sewed this WITHOUT a pattern????????? I made 2 similar dresses for my granddaughter's wedding (she had 2 flowergirls) and it took me a month for each one! I can't imaging doing it without a pattern! YOU are amazing.
ReplyDeleteThanks for all the sweet comments! I promise I'm working on a tutorial. I did use a pattern, just not a store bought one. I made my own pattern :)
