This is a picture of the romper I made as part of my Candy Shop entry for PTR.
The idea was to have this represent licorice.

I had to make sure it fit first.
This little romper was extremely easy. I'm not sure what this fabric
is but AFC-Express calls it Romper Shag Stretch Fabric.
And just like they say, it works perfect for rompers.

-
Used a onesie and traced it to make a pattern.
-
Adjusted the neck by making it wider so it would easily slip over the head.
-
Cut the two pieces (front & back) out & finished the edges.
-
Added about 5 rows of nylon chiffon ruffles, on the front and back.
-
Sewed the front and back pieces together.
-
Added snaps at the bottom, just like on a onesie.
It was pretty simple and in the midst of PTR, I was glad that this worked out well and quickly!

Today we're partying over at:

Love it! I just saw something similar to this on sale on etsy and I was starting to think about how to make my own. Thanks for sharing!
ReplyDeleteThis is really cute. I read all through PTR.
ReplyDeleteAwww! She is adorable, though I must admit I'm a bit disappointed. I was half expecting that you'd wrapped her up in Red Vines ;)
